“The newest winery in the line-up, Waipara Hills was established in 2001 and in ten years has amassed over 200 awards for their wines. The youngest wine on show, this Pinot Noir is reddish-purple in the glass, with lifted aromas of red fruits and toasty oak. Surprisingly soft upfront, but finishes with dark berry fruits and a savoury leather note. Immensely drinkable, this is a wine that will go down as a real crowd pleaser…” M2 Magazine, June 2012. "Getting the texture right is a big part of making successful Pinot Gris, and winemaker Simon McGeorge has done well with this example of his skills. It has all the right pear and ripe melon aromas, but it is the faintly oily, richly fruited flavour profile that makes you want to pour another glass." Wine NZ Magazine, May 2012. Vic Williams
